Safety measures that are taken inside our school.

in this video we will take you on a tour of our school to show you that some of the things that we have put in place to make sure that our school is safe and welcoming for students faculty and staff. Members will be required to enter through entrance where the temperatures will be screened electronically and they will complete an employee monitoring form if it is necessary that we further screens using a manual thermometer students will also be screened at this location all parents and deliveries from vendors will also be restricted to work or your area the moment your child arrives at school we will be practicing social distancing all students dropped by car or buy bus will be temperature screen and a band will be placed on each child that has been cleared to enter the school building any students whose temperature registers at a hundred or more will be further says fire School students who have a high temperature will be removed from other students and taken to an isolation area they will not come in contact with other students or staff there are 30 cows in all our hallways to follow the mandated 6-foot distance requirement students are constantly reminded to follow these decals to practice social distance in the classroom students have that Shields that help prevent the spread of germs student desk chairs sinks and bathrooms are kind of tight throughout the day music equipment is not being shared and activities are designed to follow the CDC guidelines our goal at JFK is to have our students experience on normal day but keeping with the required lunch is served in the cafeteria students eating is clearly marked to ensure that we follow social distance guidelines the drinking fountains are no longer being utilized a water bottle refilling station has been installed so that the students have access to water throughout the day during the day and after school are custodial staff disinfect and sanitizes all restrooms classrooms and classroom furniture for the net school day we hope this video has been helpful in showing you the procedures that we have in place at JFK Elementary for you child safety we are confident in meeting the challenges that we face during this time JFK Elementary it's a safe happy and inviting learning environment for all of our students and staff
